Brothers and sisters, the end of the world! Violent violence, violent winter Don't you think it’s about time to riot now? My feelings are turning, turning to black now One blank stare, a little resistance Bored we walk home, fingers frozen Our vision stolen, since that one bike ride Your pretty face is warm and bleeding in style We’re all dressed up, we got somewhere to go It’s the last chance we’ve got, there will be no more Shirley sang diamonds are forever Unlike you they linger and I’m still waiting Must I paint a picture? About the way I feel? Past vision of the future Let’s put a brave face on Black feelings, black black feelings 6 years, open arms, 40 days and 40 nights Same dream, same face, same boat, same heart This is the same night this is the same night this is the same night and I’m still burning
Maps 02:34
We steal new words, to say the same thing Maps, frames and scandals People from books that are burning Maps and pages printed out This is really happening Shake your heart like it’s full of disaster They’re making maps in the violent winter Painted blood red, the words are black again
Gold 03:05
Out of the north comes golden splendour Out of the south come golden rules Heavy burden on the fragile road Can I help you with your crime honey? It took the spies 40 days to search out the Promised Land Bring back gold, now we’re ready to die Waiting for one future Golden voice I forgot the words, I forgot the taste So many things that we should say So many things that we pretend You can’t be saved by the beauty of the lake While we’re losing friends we’re losing sleep Losing the things that we should eat When it’s time to die, who’s ready? Who will be the first of the gang to die!
Silver 02:13
What happened during the landing? Timeless, spaceless It’s too late I’ve left this place so many times before What happened to proposition 31? Your face is the center stage You are half the size of love Silver Books will replace kisses and punches A new morning, new conspiracy I fell in love before the second day You have nice lips, they look ready to You will love the future, but it will kill you Silver
Up all night Touching gold Oh sweet machine Information Set fire Books on fire 10 minutes Upload You’re so young Perfect sequence Hard drive Protest Its breaking Our heart It's leaking Right now EVEN MACHINES CAN SEE THAT WE ARE DEAD
On the second day of the second month in some distant year The whole sea froze golden When we last checked earth was really dying I’ve left this place so many times before Under the waterline, the belly of the whale Tidal waves, Waltzing squid on salty shores And I stayed in the cave before the water came In the city of 4 Os it was up to the neck One hand reaching out, the other on the past and I ask Will salt water heal this tentacular attack? On the last day of the second month Digging for diamonds in a salty cave There wasn’t a morning left in our hearts And the golden sea was just a distant memory
We’ve found the last diamond in the cave Five years, five years, five years Dark dirty, golden glitter Oh no, oh no We’ve found the last diamond in the cave Five years, five years, five years We’ll be sorry in the morning First light, last light We’ve found the last diamond in the cave Five years, five years, five years Young pretty, golden trigger Oh no, oh no We’ve found the last diamond in the cave Five years, five years, five years We're not sorry, dead or broken First light, last night No more downtown No more cheap wine Oh no My brain Hurts like A crystal

''Manic Quebec City musical instigator Sam Murdock unleashes another militant punk band into the world, this time teaming up with electronic artist/drummer Pascal Asselin of Millimetrik to form Oromocto Diamond and shake the complacency out of everyone in their path. Lyrically, songs like "Black Feelings" and "Maps" serve as anthemic calls to arms, thanks in particular to the jarring vocal tandem of Murdock and keyboardist Jane Ehrhardt, who insistently bellow most of their well-articulated vocals. Although the band's sound possesses an urgent rhythmic dynamic, thanks to the bass and drums configuration of Murdock and Asselin, Ehrhardt's keyboards infuse every song with a space-y prog rock sheen, which is much more pronounced on half-time songs like "First Wave, Second Wave, Third Wave." In this sense, Le Choc du Futur is somewhat top-heavy, energy-wise. Oromocto Diamond burst out of the gate before taking a breather and steamrolling listeners to conclude an interesting debut.'' EXCLAIM!, Vish Khanna
